◆九字護身法
元は中国の魔除けの呪文でしたが、日本では密教や修験道に取り入れられ、忍者も使うようになりました。
気持ちを静めたり、自然のエネルギーをとりこんで気を高めたりすると言われています。
伊賀忍者たちは、朝は太陽に向かって、夜は月に向かって、朝晩２回この印を結びます。また、田高の前や任務遂行前にも必ず印を結び、精神統一を図りました。
Originally a spell of Chinese amulet, it was incorporated into esoteric Buddhism and Shugendo in Japan, and ninjas also came to be used. It is said that it calms the feelings and takes in the energy of nature and raises the spirit. ◆武器
＜手裏剣＞
手裏剣は突端を焼き入れた忍者の代表的な武器で、忍者の流派によって形が違います。（40〜50種類あると言われています）
手裏剣だけの殺傷能力はありませんが、先端に毒薬や泥土、馬糞（病気にさせる）などを塗りつけて、かすり傷だけでも確実にダメージを与えられるように工夫していました。

＜忍び刀＞
普通の刀よりも短い１mほどのものです。武器だけでなく登る時の足場にしたり、物音をよく聞くための聞き筒にしたりと多彩に使えます。

＜仕込み杖＞
竹や木刀に刀刄、鎌刄を仕込んだ薙刀のようなもの。（時と場合によって刃を変える）戦いの時に薙刀、竹刀として使用した。検問をとおるときは、刄をたたんでお年寄りのふりをするときの杖にした。

＜まきびし＞

＜弓矢＞
忍びは普通の和弓の他に、半弓などの短い特殊な弓を使います。短い弓に飛距離はありませんが、初速が強いので接近戦に向いています。
短い弓は折りたためるように工夫してあり、使用時には伸ばしてツルを貼って使える旅弓というものもあります。矢は菅笠や編み笠の内側に、放射状にさして携行していました。
焼き討ち、放火のときには火矢にし、矢先に糸をつけて距離をはかったり、矢先に文をつけて通信手段にしたりと活用していました。

◆忍者の服
忍者は目立ってはいけない。普段は一般の武士と同じ服装をしているが、敵を探りに行く時などは、イメージ通りの忍者スタイルになる。色は茶色、柿渋、紺色などで周囲の明るさによって色を変えた。（黒はかえって目立つ）
忍者装束の上着の内側や襟にはものいれがたくさんあり、そこに手ぬぐいなどの細いものを入れ、胸には銅製の鏡や渋紙、わしなどを防弾も兼ねていれていた。手甲や襦袢の細長いポケットにも棒手裏剣をしのばせたりと、全てが敵の攻撃と防御にそなえていた。

◆忍者屋敷
＜どんでん返し＞
普通の襖や壁のように見えるが、背中をつけて少し力を加えると反転する。追っ手の襲撃から逃れるために完全に回転しない。
＜かくし梯子＞
中二階へ上がるための梯子。上がった後はハシゴを引き上げて隠れるので、消えたように見える。
＜落とし穴＞
床板に落とし穴の仕掛けがある。暗い部屋に敵を追い詰めて、穴に落とす。
